-
ACT scores are accepted by all United States colleges, including all the Ivy
League schools.
-
Unlike the SAT, the ACT is a curriculum-based test. One can obtain a high mark
by fulfilling a rigorous school curriculum faithfully.
-
Unlike the SAT, there are no deductions for guessing and no penalty for wrong
answers. This alleviates the psychological burden associated with errors.
-
The ACT is a shorter test than the SAT, even when the optional Writing Test is
included.
-
Students who take the ACT more than once ¦¡ about 50 percent do so ¦¡ can choose
which set of scores they want to send to a college. They don¡¯t have to send
scores from all their test dates.
-
Students can take the ACT even if they have also taken the SAT. Separate
preparation is not required.
